Gentleman 2009
Lately, I've been thinking about the word Gentleman. The word makes me immediately think of Sam Davis Jr, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Cary Grant. I always want to be seen as a gentleman. You know, the smooth dude that everyone respects and looks up to. I don't only want to be seen as a gentleman but I want to be a gentleman. Feel me? First it is about being, then others will see you as you are.
According to Random House Dictionary,
Gentleman is: A civilized, educated, and well-mannered man.
But what does that mean in 2009?
I’m going to play with this idea of a Gentleman for a couple of days so let me know what you think.

THE FIRST TIME IS THE ONLY TIME
First impressions are important, truthfully. A lot more than people want to realize. The first second you meet someone will make a lasting impression. Whatever the person takes from this interaction decides if they want to deal with you again. So pay attention to what you look like when you step out the crib. Always, always treat everybody you interact with, with the up most respect. And most importantly, watch what you say to people. Someone is always listening. Believe me, I've learned that from experience.

Gentle /a style
A gentleman is a style....a hue....it is who you are if you are alone....a personality trait....it is an action....an appearance....it is respect...given and received....yes...you open the door for a lady....not because she is beautiful....or you want something from her....it is because that is who you are.....when you open your mouth to speak....it is not the drag in your voice....it is the content of your speech....a gentleman has substance....it does not matter if he works at McDonald's or the CEO of a fortune 500 company....at the end of the day.... a gentleman is a real man....A real man stands when he could otherwise be sitting down....gentlemen....are you standing or sitting....

How do you rectify when you mess up?
That's a good question. I think the first to do is accept it. I think mistakes become a problem when people deny them and don't want to deal with them. If you admit to the mistake and talk to the person you did wrong, all anyone can do is respect that right? Who knows, I'm on the journey trying to figure everything out...

Being gentle is evry important in a man's life.Man needs to be gentle and it begin at home,how you will brought up by your parents.you shld be God fearing,respectful,looking good.All these makes to be a gentleman.

R&R, I don't think the meaning behind a gentlemen should have any different meaning now then it had another time past, present or future. I believe that there are few now than in the past and this is a concerning issue we should all look at then look within ourselves to ensure that we are working towards this image. It is not always easy to do this with a growing society of self centered individuals who's concern is mainly on themselves and not eager to help others with out gain. Plus with a recession it makes it harder to extend one's help to those in need without affecting one's own basic needs.

Right now in 09... Gentleman would have ta mean the dude that can pay all the bills while we in a Recession lol..... Naw but real talk. I believe that a Gentleman is some one that's true to himself first and then the others around him.
Being nice, looking good, having "swag".... dose not nessciarly make you a Gentleman. Its about knowing who you are and then expressing that to the masses in a safe non threatening way.
Being affensive is a gamble. Cause human factor is built around mistakes. So you neva know who your going to affend. As long as you didnt do it on purpose then your str8.
But Gnetlemans in 09..... is a dieing breed.
