Living The Dream
I mean, just because you lived in the hood and put words together doesn't mean that you're nice! I'm sorry, but the more people that post music that has no purpose on the net, the more I have to defend my work. I am in full support of living your dream but at some point, you have to realize that there is work and talent involved. As much as the Internet is the greatest tool to get your music out there, it’s also the main reason everybody and anybody thinks they can be an artist. Just because you lay rhymes over a track doesn’t make you a lyricist. You got to study, understand cadence, have a loquacious (look it up) vocabulary, and creatively describe what you’re feeling and what you want to convey in a way never approached before. You got to figure out what your voice is, what you want to say, and develop your skills. All this doesn’t happen overnight! Remember, there's a reason why it takes years before people get put on! Get out of your closet studio and freestyle! Be in the streets! Live and breathe the life of an artist. And do it because you love it. Not to hang with girls, not to have money. Do it cause there is nothing else that would be more fulfilling. It has to be your answer, not just your want. And each day someone releases a song mimicking someone else’s style is disrespectful to the people that fought for their craft. Be respectful.

One step at a time
you're sitting at home,..thinking that you have it made,..because you dropped out of school, - right after the 10th grade. Now you're taking a urine test, for your parole officer,...she was in the 10th grade with you,..now you're reporting to her. What happened along the way,..how did you get pushed back,..or was education a train, - as you laid on the track ? It ran right over you, because the choice that you made, - was stopping at the finish line, - and not crossing then get paid. Graduation is an exercise, that strengthen your mind,...your high school diploma, - is the way,... when you,...just can't find. Now,..you're searching for a job,...tell me,.. did you find,..success is healthy for you - If taking it -...one step at a time.,
This is how It should be done
Before becoming any-thing,..you must first have the means,..of knowing the difference - between visions and dreams. Every vision that you have - Isn't all that it seems,..and dreams only happens - when you're sleeping on the scene. So If you're sleeping,..you're miss out, - on the knowledge - no doubt,..now, do you really understand what's having a vision - is about ? It's a -bout what you see, - with your third eye " G ",...you got a message,.." I'll listen,..If It will benefit me. You have to say something - people,..for the whole world to hear,..then let them see how you succeed, - In case they have a deaf ear....The vision is what you see, - that goes beyond your face,..dreams are what you have, - when you are sleep in any place...To read and strengthen your third eye,..you have a vision and now you see,...If you'll put your vision in effect,..You may help make history...But for those that are sleep,..let the sleeping dogs lay,..for they awake with mistakes, - making noise just to give us away..Don't grab the micro-phone , unless you have something to say,..Like,..If you'll invest in your education,..your knowledge will pave the way...
My Thoughts
Being a Dj, I get where "Living the Dream" is coming from. I'm a Dj that still uses 1200's to spin with. At one point I consider those to dj with the CD,DJ tables to be less of a Dj. But as time moves forward so does technology and the way we use to do things move forward to. So even though we may not agree or like the new way, we have to prepare our self for the new beginnings of life. Because these days it shows in the lyrics that it does happen over night, I mean it doesn't take much thinking to write supa soak that hoe..lol, To day it's all about money, marketing, & makeovers. Make a song sounding like someone else Market it and make the Money... I too believe in the craft of hip hop, as common would say, "I use to lover her" and I still do I can't be mad because she's do'n something new.
By the way I got them CD,DJ tables but still rock my 1200'S.
Understanding is learning....Learning is understanding
With every two steps you make ...you give back one...too old to hate...I am who I am....because of life....I appreciate everything that I have been through....my responsiblity is to educate....
Life is what you make it
life is a destination, a journey and a road map. Dead-ends and blocked roads tells how long it will take to find your way. Experiences create wisdom and develops compassion. Detours help you to determine direction. Stamina and endurance will mold your stance in life and provide your walk through life. If you know that life's destination can sometimes be distracted by unexpected situations that have purpose. Then you must understand what you have gone/go through will create the person that you will be. Expect that every ones life should touch someone else in a positive way. Then acknowledge that wisdom and compassion should be passed on and at the end of the day you will have a peace of mind. Life is what you make it.
